Formulation, Characterization, and Evaluation of Doxorubicin-loaded Cubosome as a Cytotoxic Potentiator against HCT-116 Colorectal Cancer Cells

Abstract: Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) has grown to be the world’s fourth-biggest cause of cancer-related mortality. It is critical identify more effective treatment options for it. Objectives: Doxorubicin a potent antineoplastic agent widely used but severe adverse effects. Therefore, our objective use cubosome as an efficient drug delivery system reduce off-target effects and increase cytotoxic in CRC cells. Materials Methods: Pluronic F127-Based Cubosomes were prepared by low energy stirring method loaded with doxorubicin. Physicochemical characteristics studied using X-ray diffraction, dynamic light scattering, microscopic techniques, FTIR UV spectrophotometer, entrapment efficiency. In vitro activity doxorubicin-loaded cubosomes was on HCT-116 Results: The have required nano-size results showed presence both doxorubicin F-127. efficiency high too.
